Partnership with Premier University Chattogram (PUC)
Lincoln Institute of Higher Education (LIHE), Australia, has formalised an international
academic partnership with Premier University Chattogram (PUC), Bangladesh, through the
signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2025.
About the MoU
The MoU establishes a collaborative framework between LIHE and PUC to promote
academic excellence, cross-border education, and social innovation. This agreement reflects
both institutions’ shared commitment to delivering globally relevant, high-quality education
and building long-term educational impact.
Purpose of the Partnership
The PUC-LIHE partnership aims to:
➢ Expand opportunities for international education and student mobility
➢ Foster joint academic programs aligned with global standards
➢ Collaborate on social impact and sustainable development initiatives
➢ Build institutional capabilities in research, teaching, and program delivery
What the Collaboration Is For
This strategic collaboration supports:
➢ Student Exchange Programs – with a flexible study model where students complete
60% of their credit load at LIHE (Australia) and 40% at PUC (Bangladesh), supported by
English proficiency and course equivalency.
➢ Special Cohort Scholarships – made available through sponsorship by Australian
institutions.
➢ Faculty Exchange – enabling joint academic development and teaching across
campuses.
➢ Joint Research Projects – with a focus on business, technology, and public health.
➢ Blended and Online Programs – developed based on Australian curriculum models.
➢ Social Business Innovation – through collaboration with the Yunus Centre to establish
a Social Business Centre at PUC.
➢ Nursing & Early Childhood Education Programs – co-designed to address workforce
needs in both countries, with a dedicated Nursing Institute and English/soft skills support for
students.
PUC’s Role
PUC contributes by:
➢ Hosting joint program delivery with facilities and academic support in Bangladesh
➢ Leading local compliance processes with the University Grants Commission (UGC)
➢ Supporting underprivileged students and promoting inclusive education
➢ Coordinating social entrepreneurship initiatives through local partnerships
LIHE’s Role
LIHE contributes by:
➢ Hosting students in Sydney and ensuring program alignment with Australian standards
➢ Providing curriculum design, teaching support, and academic governance
➢ Facilitating international experience and exposure for PUC students and faculty
➢ Supporting regulatory compliance and student services in Australia
